Depression is a common psychiatric illness, which is associated with several specific symptoms such as depressed mood, markedly diminished interest or pleasure in activities, psychomotor retardation, weight loss or weight gain, fatigue or loss of energy, feelings of worthlessness or guilt, recurrent thoughts of death, or recurrent suicidal ideation, etc. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that depression will be the second leading cause of disability in the world by Non-adherence to antidepressants, which is defined as being over 75% after 6 months, could lead to a lack of effect, to higher costs and significant burden for the patient, family, and society.
