We invite physicians, clinical pharmacists and pharmacists to the Evaluating medication use in lactation: what every healthcare professional should know webinar.
During this webinar with Dr Sanah Hasan, we will introduce concepts related to administration of drugs to lactating women, to provide appropriate guidance on drug use during breastfeeding and to discuss general principles that govern medication transfer to breast milk. General concepts of medication safety and concerns of medication use related to breastfeeding will be discussed. FDA lactation information and the changes that were introduced to drug information and labeling that needed to be provided by pharmaceutical companies instead of the old classifications will be identified. Examples of medication use and their safety in treating various disease states in lactation will be covered.
