What is pharmacoeconomic, and why do we need it?

Pharmacoeconomics PE identifies, measures, and compares the costs and consequences of drug therapy to healthcare systems and society. Because of high the pricing of medicine, comparing of various cost consequences is very important in the pharmaceutical industry.

It helps us to make decisions about the use of medicine. Most pharmacoeconomics studies in health care are cost-effectiveness studies set out to demonstrate how to achieve an objective with the least use of resources.
