Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, and there remains a clear and unmet need for the identification of new therapeutic targets for CVD. Genetic contributions have a strong role in disease pathogenesis. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk assessment is an important strategy for the prevention of CVD. Pharmacists play an important role in CVD risk assessment and management.
Objective of this training
is to demonstrate the importance of briefly understanding CVD (pathophysiological mechanisms, pharmacotherapy interventions, therapeutic drug monitoring subjective and objective data, clinical cases in order to design strategies to improve patient outcomes.
