The emergence of COVID-19 in the world has posed challenges for healthcare professionals related to rapid diagnosis and treatment and the provision of high-quality medical care, including rehabilitation measures after and during the transfer of coronavirus infection.

Interim guidelines for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of COVID-19 are based mainly on materials published by specialists from WHO, the Chinese, American and European Centers for Disease Control, analysis of domestic and foreign scientific publications, regulatory documents of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health Russia and Rospotrebnadzor.

In current conditions, to make optimal decisions in actual clinical practice, the attending physician must be guided by current professional knowledge and personal experience, which must comply with the latest treatment regimens and expert recommendations.

Thus, obtaining new and improving knowledge and skills in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of COVID-19 is an urgent task of training medical specialists.

An additional professional advanced training program is intended for specialists with medical education who improve their qualifications in the specialties of a general practitioner (district therapist), a general practitioner (family doctor).
